opening new threads like this is annoying, I see lots of useless thread around here which discourages me to come to IV that often. He is asking update from CORE like they owe him, he must have paid his attorney and should attorney in such way not here. Whenever core has something to share they do share, no doubts.
If you do not feel like coming to IV forum, that is your problem.
If anything only the IV Admins can speak of what the members can ask or cannot ask.
I think it is clear that this platform is not a paid subscription, so if the IV Admins do not ask for money who are you to speak of money here?
I did not demand anything, it was a request which the Admins and lot other members would understand except for some jacka** like u.

Also, those who have the "Senior" Member tags, imagine when you first joined this forum, if someone would have responded back saying "Have you paid any money that you are asking for it?" or "What have you contributed or given to this forum that you are asking for it?"

Coming back to the original post, Carbon proposed a great out-of-the-box idea. Nothing wrong in selling this idea to NAHB. They are sitting on their profits from last few years and would not mind sponsoring any IV events at DC perhaps.

I asked the same question to my attorney as last time my wife was stuck in name check in H-4 stamping. This time she was on H-1 and I asked the attorney that if she goes for H-1 and H-1 get's delayed or denied can she use AP without affecting the GC and his answer was Yes. The AP should have an approval date before she left the country i.e. AP should be approved while she was in US.

3. Any other options/advice?

People voted Obama just for economy and jobs. I remember when Paulin was announced GOP was leading for 2 weeks. When Stock market started tanking with demise of Lehmen GOP started losing. Imstead of not concentrating on economy he started working on healthcare. So democrats lost. In this situation he will realise now and he will take economy as first priority and immigration will be last 10th priority. Immigration group may have defend many anti immigrant bills and memos in this year. But nothing will be passed either for or against immigrants. Status quo will continue for 2010. Every other year, there is election and only this damn. election drives what is done and what is not done in congress year after year. The good old time, bills are passed that are important and good for the general people and this some times was not popular, but now only the issues popular are are being taken and rather than voting on what is good, the law makers tend to go with what people like, and people's likes and dislikes keep changing and the same change work against them sometimes. Also people on one area does not like what is liked in other area and when we have a product that contains both, well the same people now unite and start to not like the final product and this goes on ..... It is same CHANGE that President Obama mentions too often, but the same change is Now liked by Republicans, and Dems did not like the change this time around. Also with the communication revolutions, the election campaign seems to have become much much long.... And Oh !! Well... now our President apart from Health Care Reform, Immigration Reform and climate change issue, also need to work on his re-election from now on, if he doesn't want the change he loves some much, in White House in 2012 election... HOPE - at least people in this group, see CHANGE for better, CHANGE from AOS to LPR .... Now, let us see what will this loss of filibuster majority by Dems do in the interim.... Only time can tell. As far as my understanding goes, EB1/2/3 is fairly recent, 15-20 year pehnomemon. As such getting examples of people who have been extremely successful post getting the visa is going to be difficult. Even for Harvard reunions, usually it is only at the 25th reunion (among a few thousand people) that you have some very successful people, in a 10-15 year span, getting extremely successful(to have your name in newspapers every other day) is like a 1 in 100,000 chance. Even with EB1s.

This might be a simple stupid question,
Can you please update, if you used a standard 2*2 passport taken here in the applicaiton form or got one 3.5 cm * 3.5 cm as put in the passport form. If yes, where did you took one. The standard size Passport Photo appears to be a little bigger than the one specified in the Passport application.

I sent mine back over two and half months ago.. still no sign of a replacement card.. I called USCIS and they said they received the card, and are "reviewing the file". (how long does it take to figure out the freakin photo is wrong?). Did not specify how long will it take before they issue a new one.

lets not act as children and pick fights with AILA. Please remember, due to their vested interest, there is NO ONE else who is more PRO-immigrant than AILA.. not even tech-employers..
So if they are saying situation might be fluid and if they are saying not to spread rumours.. then so BE it..

All the written agreements are valid in most of the states. but you can argue on the terms of agreement. He cannot ask her to stay in the company for 4 years. If she works in that company for 1 year, her employer should recover all the money he spent on her.
The best way is to work there for 1 or 2 years and walk out without paying anything. Or just pay the filing fee and get out right away.
